August is here, it’s the beginning of the month, and it’s time for some more motivation and goal planning. I managed to achieve 6 out of my 9 goals for July which wasn’t too bad. I’m a bit dissapointed that I didnt manage to achieve all 9 of them, but at least I had fun trying.
July was an insanely hot month here, and to be honest, I really didn’t feel like doing too much because of the heat. It was lovely, but it left me feeling so drained all the time. July seemed to fly by in a blur of hot weather and ice creams, and we even few thunderstorms dotted in between. It was a lovely month, but I feel like I need to get back on track now, and get my motivation up again.
Here’s what I managed to tick off my list in July:
Health
- Eat more fruit – I think I managed to eat a few grapes and a handful of blueberries throughout the whole month! This goal is definitly being added to August’s list again
- Drink more water – Achieved
- Do more exercise – I did a little bit of walking during July, but not as much as I hoped for. I blame the heatwave for this one, as every time I went outside, I ended up soaked in sweat!
Family
- Family movie night – Achieved
- A family day out – Achi
e ved - Mummy and son time – Achieved
Lifestyle
- Grow my blog traffic and continue to learn and make connections – Achi
e ved - Plan a week off work – Achieved
- Make time for friends – This goal was 50/50. I had planned to meet up with a few friends for a
catch up , but as we all live such busy lives, we didn’t quite manage it
Now for my August goals. I’ve decided to plan for 2 in each category this time, so I have 6 in total.
Health
- Eat more fruit – I’m adding this one again because it’s something I really need to work on!
- Sleep – I’ve been feeling really exhausted lately, so sleep is something I need to make sure I get more of.
Family
- I’d really like to plan a holiday, as we haven’t been away as a family of 3 yet
- Family movie night – I’m adding this one again because I love family traditions and this is something we can all look forward to together
Lifestyle
- Decorate – Just about every room in our house needs decorating and freshening up. We just keep putting it off, so I’m going to plan to get at least 1 room finished
- Get organised – I’ve neglected the family calendar a bit the last couple of months, so I’d like to get it out, dust it off and get myself organised. I seem to go through the week not really knowing what I’m doing from one day to the next, so I’m going to try and make a bit of a plan for each day
So, there are my goals for August. I’m excited for the month ahead, especially as I have a week off to look forward. Lets all get out there, achieve our goals and enjoy the rest of the summer.
